Transferring To Another Provider

Instructions for Transferring Domain Names to a New Hosting Provider

How do I transfer my .uk domain name away to a new host?

Transferring your .uk domain to a new host is very easy. You simply need to change the Nominet IPSTAG for your domain to the one provided by your new host.

Make certain you have it absolutely correct, because entering in the wrong IPSTAG could result in you losing control of your domain name. You will also need to check your current contact details for this domain, as well as disabling domain privacy (if enabled), so the new registrar can contact you.

  1. Log into your domain control panel at http://domain.celtelit.co.uk
  2. Click ‘Change Contacts’ and update the Email field if necessary
  3. Click ‘Back to free services’
  4. Click ‘Change Nominet Tag’
  5. Enter the IPSTAG provided by your new registrar
  6. Click ‘Change Nominet Tag’
  7. Initiate the domain transfer from your new provider’s control panel
